7 Most Amazing Announcements from Apple at WWDC 2016

What is the secret behind the announcement date for launching the new iPhone 7. Is Apple up to numerology or is it a matter of coincidence.

At WWDC 2016 Wednesday, 7 September – Apple announced all its new innovations with – iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, Apple Watch Series 2 and Airpods.

The most awaited iPhone 7 has got most everything the rumor-mill has been buzzing for:

  • a new glossy jet black colorway,
  • a dual-lens camera with a curved appearance
  • a new four-component LED flash,
  • refined design using cutting-edge

1. Two Models

There are two new models – the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. There is no major change in look but they’re faster and water-resistant.

2. Headset Jack Removal

Apple has discarded the analog headphone jack. It encourages to begin the switch to wireless headphones. Phil Schiller addressed that “Lightning is already an excellent audio standard, and that the team behind it is showing “courage” by making the shift.” iPhone 7 users will now have to get accustomed with earbuds where comfort may be a concern, but wireless is certainly the future.

3. AirPods

Apple has an accessory for your – AirPods. A wireless version of the EarPods that will be in the iPhone’s kit box. You can get over 5 hours of listening per charge, and the AirPods have accelerometers so they know when you put them in or when you’re talking. The point of concern is it’s too small and handy so there are more chances to lose them.

4. Two Lenses

The iPhone 7 Plus has a dual-camera design. On the back, there’s an f/1.8 wide-angle lens as well as a 56mm telephoto lens. This lets you take photos with much greater depth-of-field and gives you a 2x optical zoom.

5. iOS 10 coming soon

Any new iPhone you buy this month is going to ship with Apple’s latest mobile operating system. But you can also upgrade your current iOS devices beginning on Tuesday, September 13.

6. New Apple Watch

The Apple Watch Series 2 is an all-around update to Apple’s tiny, wrist-worn computer. It’s waterproof and can track your swim workouts. It has GPS and can track your runs. It has a faster processor, a brighter screen, and it comes in a cool new material: ceramic.

7. Mario Lands on iOS

Near the beginning of the event, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto took the stage to announce the videogame giant will start releasing titles in the App Store. The first, Super Mario Run, will arrive before the end of the year. For the superfans, there’s also a new set of Mario stickers for iMessage.
